OPERATION:

The swing motor safety valve is the core safety device in the hydraulic system to protect the swing motor and related components. It is mainly used to limit the system pressure, prevent overload damage, and ensure smooth and controllable swing action.


Function Of The Swing Motor Safety Valve:

  • Overpressure protection: 

When the hydraulic system causes abnormal pressure rise due to sudden load change, pipeline blockage or operating error, the safety valve automatically opens to release pressure to prevent the motor, pipeline or seal from being damaged due to overpressure.

  • Buffering shock: 

When starting, stopping or reversing, absorb hydraulic shock (such as water hammer effect) to reduce mechanical vibration and noise.

  • Maintaining stability: 

By setting a reasonable pressure threshold, ensure that the motor output torque matches the load to prevent "stall" or "slip".


Operating Principle:

  • Normal closed state: During normal operation, the Swing Motor Safety Valve is closed and the hydraulic oil directly drives the motor to rotate.

  • Open pressure relief: When the pressure exceeds the set value (such as the common pressure range of excavators is 25-35MPa), the valve core overcomes the spring force to open, the hydraulic oil overflows back to the tank, and the valve core resets after the pressure drops.
