Differential Area

OPERATION Of Differential Area Catridge Relief Valve:

The Differential Area Catridge Relief Valve uses the pressure-bearing area difference at both ends of the valve core to balance the hydraulic pressure and spring force to control the position of the valve core, thereby adjusting the opening and closing of the relief valve. When the oil inlet pressure is low, the spring force pushes the valve core to a closed state, and the valve port does not overflow. As the oil inlet pressure increases, the difference between the hydraulic pressure acting on the large end area of the valve core and the hydraulic pressure on the small end area gradually increases. When this differential hydraulic pressure is greater than the spring force, the valve core opens, and the oil flows back to the oil tank from the overflow port, thereby limiting the further increase of system pressure and achieving a pressure stabilization function.

FEATURES:

  • The regulator ensures that the spring will not be compacted.

  • The valve core and valve sleeve are hard to handle and durable.

  • Industrial conventional valve hole.

  • Better pressure stability: In high-pressure and high-flow systems, ordinary Direct Acting Differential Area Catridge Relief Valve may cause large pressure fluctuations due to the large spring stiffness, while the differential direct-acting relief valve uses the area difference design to make the spring force relatively small. During the overflow process, the movement of the valve core is more stable, which can better maintain the stability of the system pressure and reduce pressure fluctuations and pressure swings.

  • Quick response: The direct-acting structure enables the Direct Acting Differential Area Catridge Relief Valve to respond quickly when the system pressure changes, quickly open or close the valve port, and overflow or stop overflow in time to meet the hydraulic system's requirements for rapid pressure control and effectively prevent the system pressure from being too high or too low.

FAQ:

Why is the Differential Area Relief Valve suitable for high-pressure and high-flow systems?

The Differential Area Relief Valve reduces the spring force requirement through differential area design, balances the liquid pressure under high pressure, and has high flow carrying capacity and low pressure fluctuation characteristics, which is suitable for stable control of high-pressure and high-flow systems.

In high-pressure systems, the spring of a traditional direct-acting relief valve may have insufficient stiffness, which may lead to increased pressure regulation deviation. The differential type solves this problem through structural optimization while reducing the size of the valve body.
